DeepClear

Privacy

Effective 20 October 2026. DeepClear is provided by WavelengthOS LLC, a Missouri limited liability company. Inside the app it is called Clarity. Questions about this page: support@getdeepclear.com.

The short version

DeepClear runs on your own computer. There is no account, no sign-in, and no server of ours. It reads the names and dates of files in the folders you choose, so it can show you where you left off. It does not open those files unless you switch on a feature that says it will, and it does not send them anywhere unless you ask for an AI feature and supply your own key.

We do not collect, receive or store any of your information. There is nothing for us to sell, share or lose.

What DeepClear reads

Folders you chooseFile and folder names, and their dates. It never opens a file to do this, which is also why files kept only in the cloud are not downloaded.
Your next steps, notes and tasksWhatever you type into DeepClear, kept in files beside the program.
Files you openA switch, on by default, in Settings → Folders you work in. Windows’ own list of recently opened items: a file’s name and the time it was opened, never what is inside it. Switching it off deletes what it noticed.
Inside your filesOff unless you turn it on. Searching inside files reads your documents to build a search index on this computer. The index stays on your computer; nothing is uploaded.
A repository you point it atCommit messages and file names from git, on your computer.

What leaves your computer

Nothing, unless you ask for it. DeepClear has no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting, no advertising and no third-party tracking of any kind. It opens no outward connection on its own.

There are exactly four things that can send anything, all of them switched on by you, each using your own key for that service. Three use your own Anthropic API key, billed to your own account:

  1. Ask your documents sends the passages it found in your files for the question you asked, under plain numbers, without file names or folders.
  2. What you were doing reads the files that changed on a day to write a sentence about that day.
  3. Concepts across projects sends terms from your own files to compare them.
  4. Linear, with your own Linear key, sends the numbers of the Linear issues you linked to tasks, to read whether they are finished and when they are due. Nothing else from your board goes with them.

If you never add a key, none of these can run. DeepClear shows what a reading will cost before it starts, and stops at limits you set.

Your phone, if you switch it on, reaches DeepClear over your own network or your own private network service; your board never leaves your computer for anyone else’s server.

Links to related companies. DeepClear’s menu links to other companies under the same ownership. A link opens in your browser and carries a short label saying it came from DeepClear; nothing else is sent.

Where your information is kept

On your computer, in DeepClear’s own folder, Documents\Clarity. That folder holds your settings, your board, your notes and next steps, any reports you make, and a log of what DeepClear did (starts, scans, exits and errors). If you keep that folder in OneDrive, your copy of it syncs to your OneDrive account, under Microsoft’s terms and yours, not ours.

A second folder, %LOCALAPPDATA%\Clarity, is on this computer only and is never synced. It holds your search index if you build one, any API key you add, your phone’s pairing, a read-only copy of your board when a second computer opens it, and what an update leaves behind.

A problem report (Settings → Report a problem) is written into that same folder and put on your clipboard. It holds your build, your version of Windows, counts from your board and the last 300 lines of the log, which can name your projects and folders, with any AI key removed. It is sent only when you paste it somewhere and send it yourself.

What we receive

Nothing. We have no way to see your board, your files, your usage or your errors.

If you install DeepClear from the Microsoft Store, Microsoft records the install and any ratings or reviews you leave, under Microsoft’s privacy statement. If you use an AI feature with your own Anthropic key, what you send goes to Anthropic under your agreement with them; if you use Linear with your own key, the issue numbers go to Linear under yours.

This website keeps no cookies and runs no analytics. Like any website, the service that hosts it keeps standard server logs.

Children

DeepClear is a tool for a person’s own work. It is not directed at children, and it collects nothing from anyone.
